“Freshening things up”

Axol Bioscience are a super lovely company that make cells from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and they’re really good at it! The issue was that there was the website was, to be honest, a bit crap: loaded with cliche terms and just struggling to show the great work they do. The plan was obvious but a big one: rewrite most things to tell people that a) Axol makes human iPSC and that these contribute to better models of disease. So, they needed webcopy, social and blogs that not only plainly said what they do, but also had a dose of aspiration to it. That’s what I did. With help from some fresh new marketing blood and a ton of in-house expertise, I made a load of new copy for dozens of pages, new blogs to show off what they do and how customers really benefit from that and even got to have some fun on social (like weaving Celine Dion lyrics into a post about cardiomyocytes!).

A website's homepage featuring a woman in a lab coat and glasses, alongside the text, "Better human disease model" - nice strong copy I wrote.
